Widgedi! is a collection of Widgets that will help you display different parts of your Posts & Pages where ever you want (as long as you can put a widget there) and not be limited to the boxy article section.

Widgedi! is an advanced tool that expands your content presentation or organization possibilities. Widgedi! used in its full potential extends your website’s flexibility like very few other plugins do.

Current Widgets

Widget #1 : Image Attachments

Add any Post/Page’s image attachment to any sidebar. You can furthermore add caption to those images. Useful for product screenshots, story photos or any other photos that are relevant to the post but don’t fit in the flow of the content.

For themes that have a full screen sidebar, you can use this plugin to set different image background to specific posts.

Widget #2 : Custom Fields

Add any custom field to any sidebar (includes html and shortcodes). Custom fields are post/page specific, and can accept html. Which means that you can create additional post/page specific content, that is outside of the traditional ‘post content’ box.

For example, you can see the ‘Quick Info’ widget in the Live Preview. This was created with widgedi, and its basically a custom field – each plugin on that site has the same widget but with different content.

Widget #3: Navigation

With this widget you can create a post navigation in the sidebar. Very useful for long posts with distinctive sections, with this widget you can create a navigation on the sidebar so readers can jump to sections they are interested in (somewhat similar to wikipedia’s item navigation).

Widget #4 : Page / Post Content

With this Widget you can quickly transfer sections from a post or a page to the sidebar. simple include this content in the Widget’s shortcode and it will be transfered to the relevant widget.

Styling Approach

In order to maximize your ability to design/style the content, you can assign specific classes to each attachment and/or custom field and contain them in a p.container.

Moreover, Widgedi! assigns widget specific classes and umbrella classes to be easily addressed and style with custom css.

Light!

Widgedi! is very light and adds no external javascript or css files.

Support

I’ll do my best to provide quick and free support to any question you might have. moreover, I’ll be happy to add any feature you find missing, and/or quickly fix any bug you might encounter.
